Filter the internet, protect your family. That simple.

I can not stress enough how important it is to filter your internet. Monitoring it is not enough, unless you plan on standing right over them every minute they are on the internet.
There are many different filters out there, but I recommend www.hedgebuilders.com

I couldn't say it better

The link below is for a great article on "sheltering" our kids.
My favorite quote:

We don't want to give our children a list of man made rules to follow from any "movement." We want them to be wise and discerning. We want them to learn how to apply God's Word to various issues. And we want them to know that

God isn't keeping them from something good-
He's offering something MUCH BETTER!
Strength, health, fruit, and life (Psalm 1:6)!

Verse A Day

My kids have started a ministry called Verse A Day. They will text you a Bible verse everyday. If you are interested in receiving a verse each day please text your information to 262-271-7825. We will not share your information with anyone, or use it for anything else.

Excuse This House

Found this poem in a frame at a garage sale:

Excuse This House

Some houses try to hide the fact
That children live there...
Ours boasts of it quite openly,
The signs are everywhere.

For smears are on the windows
Tiny smudges on the doors...
I should apologize I guess,
For toys strewn on the floor.

But I sat down with the children,
And we played and laughed and read.
And if the doorbell doesn't shine,
Their eyes will shine instead.

At times I'm forced to choose
The one job or the other -
I want to be a housewife,
But first I'll be a Mother.
